With great mountains come great views. We climbed the highest point in Indochina, Mount Fansipan @ 3,142m, staying in a lodge halfway up the mountain so we could wake upat 4 am to catch the sunrise at the top. Unfortunately, it was so misty I could barely see my hands in front of me. This was undoubtedly the coldest I had been in Vietnam. We also enjoyed a homestay in the valley, complete with food cooked over a wooden fire.
