We drove our motorbikes from the large roads of Hanoi to the small concrete paths winding round rice fields north of the city. We kept going when the road became a footpath. Upon renting our tents we quickly came to realize that a Vietnamese 10-person tent looks a lot more like a Western 6-person. As the day turned to night hundreds of Vietnamese campers flocked to the field we were staying at and set up there own camps. Large speakers were rolled near each campfire and a cacophony of karaoke began. Full off bbq, drunk off beer, we paraded around the fires and danced our way into morning. The lack of space in the tents was soon forgotten.
